The Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has called for a broad societal effort in order to tackle the spread of Covid-19.
In a message following on from the Government’s decision to move the entire country to Level 3 restrictions, Holohan called on the public to follow the current guidelines.
Holohan said now is a vital time as everyone has the power to interrupt the spread of the virus.
He reminded people to continue social distancing, washing their hands, wear face coverings and to reduce the number of their contacts.
