It’s going to be a very different Christmas to the usual out and about, shopping in packed shops, 12 pubs of Christmas and packed Churches on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The Chief Medical Officer said that people should stop meeting people now and should meet as few people as possible over the festive season.
Meanwhile, the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) has said that Ireland could be back to 1,000 Covid-19 cases a day if Irish people are not careful over Christmas.
According to the NPHET, Ireland remains in a ‘fragile’ position.
A total of 2,120 have died from Covid-19-related causes in Ireland so far.
