Holohan: “Out of control” – NPHET warns the Irish public there could be 6,000 cases per day in the coming days




There are now reportedly 607 people in hospitals around the country with covid. NPHET has issued a warning that there could soon be more than 6,000 cases per day in the coming days.

The latest figures show 3,394 new cases with a total of 93,831 cases and more than 607 people with covid in hospital.

Meanwhile, the Health Service Executive (HSE)’s boss Paul Reid is warning that coronavirus infections might ‘double’ over the next few days.

Reid said that the rate of transmission is currently at ‘alarming’ levels.

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan recently admitted that the outbreak is ‘out of control’ in Ireland.
