Holohan says things are going well since the easing of Covid-19 restrictions

It appears as though things are finally going well with the easing of the stringent restrictions imposed on the Irish public.

The Chief Medical officer Dr Tony Holohan has said that he has not seen a worrying trend since the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

Speaking at the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing, Dr Holohan said that there was high level of compliance from the public in regards to social distancing.

Dr Holohan also said that it is too early to tell if the easing of restrictions has had an impact on the spread of the virus, but we may know in the next week or two.

Dr Holohan’s comments come as 13 further deaths and 76 new cases were reported on Saturday evening.
