Holohan: We’re going to take it a step at a time and are hopeful we can lift restrictions

At this stage, who doesn’t want lockdown restrictions lifted? Well, it looks like it’ll be a slow process in doing so.

The Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan has said that nothing is certain in relation to how easing the lockdown will go over the coming weeks.

Holohan said that he was hopeful that they’ll be able to start lifting restrictions from Monday but said that they have recommended against all non essential travel, including tourists coming into Ireland.

He said that the proposed easing is consistent with their advice in regards to lifting restrictions since the pandemic started.
