If you were planning to dust off the old travel case, hoping for a July getaway, you better think again as summer 2020 appears to have been cancelled.
Speaking today, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tony Holohan does not envisage any non-essential foreign travel for Irish holidaymakers this summer.
His comments come on the same day that Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said that he intends to have at least 40% of flights in the air by early July.
Mr. Holohan cast doubt on this, however, saying that the advice against non-essential travel stands for the foreseeable future.
