Holohan worried, says people need to stop meeting as we are not seeing “encouraging signs of reduction in socialisation”

Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan has once again urged people to stop meeting up as much as possible and to socialise as little as possible as the festive season approaches.

Holohan said a press briefing that NPHET is not seeing any sort of “encouraging signs of reduction in socialisation” across the country and that it’s driving case numbers up.

He concerningly added that small improvements such as a “collective adherence might be sufficient to bringing this back under control.”
