Campaigner for the homeless Peter McVerry has said that the real figure of homelessness across Ireland is closer to 15,000, rather than the official 10,000 recently announced by Government sources.
The Irish Mirror reflects McVerry’s view of rampant homelessness with implicit complicity by a Government siding with banks and vulture funds while despising its people.
Peter McVerry said that figures are likely to keep going “up and up” as the Government is doing close to nothing to address the problem.
