Homeless prevention charity group Home Sweet Home to use €129k to fight homelessness




The homeless prevention campaign group Home Sweet Home have announced plans to set up a community organising grant.

The group who came about last Christmas to prevent the homeless people from being kicked out from the soon to be demolished Apollo House office block, have announced the plans to use the €129,000 they’ve raised in funding to setup a community grant systems across the country to prevent further people from becoming homeless.

In an announcement the charity group said they are setting up what it calls a “community organising grant”.

They also said they are inviting grassroots groups that are involved in campaigns to end homelessness to apply for the funding.
