bout 80 people slept rough last night as part of an ongoing effort by housing charity Focus Ireland to highlight the homelessness drama currently blighting the country.
According to Focus Ireland, there has been an “unprecedented rise” in the number of people losing their homes in the last few months. Figures show that dozens of families lose their home every month.
Newstalk’s Bobby Kerr joined the campaigners, and he recorded a few videos throughout the evening and night.
The campaign raised over €350,000 in pledges to help alleviate the homelessness issue.
