Gardai have announced that they’re replying to a large number of domestic abuse calls during the lockdown restrictions.
In what can only be described as a truly shocking statistic, gardai say that there has been a 20% increase in domestic violence calls since the same time last year and they believe it’s a result of the coronavirus lockdown measures.
The say the increase in calls is resulting from people being confined to their homes and in abusive situations.
