Authorities in India have confirmed that three people have been killed and 27 others have been injured following an accident at a theme park.
According to reports in India, three people sadly lost their lives after a pendulum ride snapped in half whilst in mid-air.
It is believed that 29 people were brought to hospital following the incident which occurred at Kankaria Amusement Park in the city of Ahmedabad, Gujurat, India.
However tragically three people were sadly confirmed deas a short time later, whilst 27 others required hospital treatment.
In horrifying footage which has been uploaded online, the ‘Discovery’ ride can be seen snapping whilst swinging in mid air before crashing to the ground.
Police investigating the incident say they are yet to determine the cause of the incident, but it is believed that a pipe on the main shaft broke whilst the ride was in operation.
They added that an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
