In a truly horrific story an Indian women has claimed that she and her 14-year-old cousin were gang raped and two relatives were murdered, after they were alleged to have eaten beef.
The distraught woman, aged 20, said the brutal attack occured in Haryana state just over two weeks ago. The emotional women told the BBC the four alleged attackers brutally raped her and younger cousin before beating her uncle and aunt to death in their home in Mewat.
It is thought the savage attack occurred after the family were accused of being Muslim and eating beef which is against Hindu tradition. Many Indians believe that cows sacred and the slaughter of the animal is banned in many states, including Haryana.
The victim told BBC Urdu: “They said that we ate cow meat and that is why we were being disgraced (raped).” “They even threatened to kill me and my family if we ever told anybody what happened to us.”
Meanwhile police have said they have arrested the four men involved in the attack and are currently conducting an investigation into the attack.
