Hospitals are saying that elective surgery and other non-essential operations are being cancelled due to covid surge

Hospitals around the country are saying that they’re now under immense pressure due to the level of covid around the country.

Planners in hospital settings are saying that non-essential operations and elected surgery are either being cancelled or postponed due to the demand of medical care needed for people with covid.

It’s understood that the surge is meant to peak at the beginning of April where it’s meant to start declining for that time onwards.

People will be contacted should their appointments be cancelled or postponed.
