Medical facilities nationwide have failed to meet the waiting lists targets set for them.
No public patient was meant to wait longer than 15 months to get an appointment by the end of 2015, but new figures just released indicate that almost 10,000 people were facing longer waiting times.
These facts emerge in a climate were nurses at seven hospitals are set to perform work stoppages next week due to ongoing and severe overcrowding levels. Yesterday, 423 were waiting on trolleys, a figure which represents a marginal drop over the previous week.
