The recent spike in road deaths continues to rise this morning, after a man in his 20s lost his life when the car he was driving collided with a van on the N11 road in Wexford.
The accident happened between the village of Oylegate and Kyle’s Cross, just after 4.30am this morning.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed to Wexford General Hospital. The other driver was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The stretch of road remains closed in both directions, with local diversions in place.
