A salon owner in the US has broken a Guinness World Record with a ball of human hair that grew to an incredible 225.13 pounds.

According to UPI, the incredible record was broken by Ohio-based Steve Warden, owner of the Blockers salon.  He explained that the hairball was named “Hoss” and started to grow from clippings from his customers.

The hairball eventually grew large enough to be featured by Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

Ripley’s brought the hairball along to Orlando Comic Con where they asked attendees to donate their own hair clippings until the ball grew large enough to break the Guinness World Record.   Hoss finally weighed in at 225.13 pounds, which broke the record of 167 pounds which was set in 2014.
