A man living in Dublin has spoken on a Reddit account about how disastrous the rental market is at the moment due to the fact that so many people applied to rent a box room in his house.
According to the Irish Mirror, the man who is living in the house wrote about how he “couldn’t believe” the result when the room was put up for rent on Daft. He said that the room in question had been vacated by his housemate who then put it up on Daft for €700 a month.
He spoke about how he received 300 emails in less than a day, saying that the emails came from people of all nationalities, ages and incomes.
Other users contributed to the discussion, some of them saying that they felt completely despondent at the situation while others said that they were shocked at the state of the rental market.
