A woman in Brazil has described how she fell in love with a ragdoll made by her mother before going on to have a baby with him.
According to the Metro, 37-year-old Meirivone Rocha Moraes had grown tired of being single and said so to her mother who then knitted a ragdoll for her. Meirivone fell in love with the ragdoll, called Marcelo, describing it as love at first sight.
She explained that she then did a pregnancy test and realised that she was pregnant. Not wanting to have a baby outside of marriage, she arranged a quickie wedding with Marcelo before heading off to Rio de Janeiro on honeymoon.
Speaking about it, she said that “Married life with him is wonderful. He doesn’t fight with me, he doesn’t argue and he just understands me. Marcelo is a great and faithful husband. He is such a man and all women envy him.”
Meirivone then had her baby at home in a labour that took just 35 minutes and which was live-streamed online.
