The CEO of the HSE Paul Reid has said that people should stay at home this week if at all possible, and certainly over Christmas.
Reid said that the country now only has a small number of free ICU beds left.
The HSE boss, who’s on a salary of €412,000 per annum, begged people to stay at home and, for example, to meet 2 people instead of 3.
Many people say that they’re going to do whatever they want this week and over Christmas anyway.
