HSE Chief Paul Reid says 40% of Covid-19 hospital cases are in those under age of 65




The Chief Executive of the HSE Paul Reid has said that there has been a 40% increase in Covid-19 cases over the last three weeks.

Speaking to RTE, Reid said that recent hospitalisations have also shown that 40% of cases are in those under the age of 65.

Reid went on to say that 65% of ICU caess are amongst the unvaccinated.

He added that the focus is now on getting unvaccinated people to come forward to get their Covid-19 vaccine.
