The Chief Executive of the HSE Paul Reid has said the Covid-19 vaccine portal has gotten off to a positive start with over 26,000 registering to get their jab.
Speaking following the opening of the portal on Thursday, Reid said the majority of registrations came online although there were a high number of calls to the dedicated support line.
Reid said the vaccination programme for 65 to 69 year olds will get underway next week with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine set to be used amongst people in this cohort.
