HSE confirms first doses of Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine given to homeless people

Around 700 homeless people have received the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine as the roll-out of the vaccine got under way this week.

According to RTE News, the single dose vaccine was administered to those who are considered medically vulnerable at a centre in Dublin City Centre.

It is understood that the vaccine will be delivered to homeless people and others in hard to reach groups over the coming days and weeks ahead.

The HSE say they currently have 26,000 doses of the vaccine in stock but a further 75,000 are expected in the next fortnight.
