The HSE have revealed that a total of three people have died from influenza.
In a statement released by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, the HSE say a total of three people have died whilst a further 324 people have been admitted to hospital with influenza in the weeks leading up to December 8th.
It is believed that those who sadly passed away were over the age of 65.
Meanwhile the vast majority of those hospitalised were over 65 and under the age of 5.
