The HSE have confirmed this evening that they are currently investigating a confirmed case of measles in an adult who regularly spends time in both Dublin and Kerry.
The HSE have also issued a warning to the public to be extra vigilant as the illness is highly contagious. They also says anyone who has not had measles or two doses of the MMR, are at high risk of contracting the disease.
The health authority are urging those who experience any of the following symptoms, which include a rash, irritability, a runny nose and fever to stay indoors and contact their GP immediately.
