HSE now seriously concerned, in particular for homosexuals, as 144 cases of monkeypox in Ireland

The HSE is now seriously concerned with the number of monkeypox cases around the country, in particular to members of the homosexual community whom many doctors believe are at a higher risk of contracting the disease.

The health service has confirmed that there are 144 cases of monkeypox in Ireland as of today.

Globally, just over 50,000 cases have been detected, with 16 monkeypox-related deaths so far.

The World Health Organization the outbreak a global public health emergency back in July.
