The flu is the reason that up to 50% of people are attending the A&E, claims the HSE.
The HSE say that the flu virus has arrived some four weeks earlier that normal in 2019 and that it’s putting health services under severe pressure.
HSE staff are forced to try and isolate people who present with flu symptoms in an effort to stop it spreading.
