Most of us would give up their job on the spot if we won the lottery. That’s exactly what one Spanish TV Reporter did, only things didn’t quite work out the way she wanted.

According to the Mirror, Natalia Escudero told everyone on the show that she had won the lottery and appeared to give the impression that she wouldn’t be coming back to work.
Champagne was sprayed in the studio while the winning numbers were announced, but what Escudero didn’t realise was that she hadn’t scooped the top prize of around €4 million. Instead, she won only €5000.
In what can only be described as an incredibly disappointing mistake, the Mirror reported that Escudero apologised to the public for her over-the-top reaction on the show. She said that she would be taking time off to go on holiday and not to give up her job completely.
