The HSE have confirmed that they are currently working with Google to rectify a battery draining issue related to the Covid-19 tracking app.
It is understood that Google are working to fix the issue after a number of users have complained that their battery has drained in a matter of hours after downloading the app.
A number of users have also complained that their phones have been overheating since they started using the app.
Although the HSE has acknowledged an issue, they say that the issue is not related to the app itself but rather it is a problem related to Google Play services.
