How the pandemic will develop further is anyone’s guess, but for now three counties remain on practical ‘lockdown’ for two weeks.

Three meat plants where coronavirus outbreaks were detected will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

The three locations (Kildare Chilling, Irish Dog Food, and O’Brien Fine Foods) have reported almost 300 cases between them.

Local lockdowns were imposed across counties Kildare, Laois, and Offaly in recent days as coronavirus keeps raging across the country.
