The HSE is set to recieve €3.8m in funding from the EU to help cover the costs of Covid-19.
It is understood that the grant which has been allocated from the European Commission’s mobility package will cover the costs of shipping protective equipment and other medical equipment outside the EU.
The grant will reportedly cover the costs of shipping from April to July.
Meanwhile it is understood that 18 other countries will be financial supports from the fund.
