A man in the US State of Arkansas has died after a deer he thought he shot dead attacked him.
According to reports in the US, the man named as Thomas Alexander, 66, was killed after the buck attack him when he went to check and see if he was dead.
It is understood Alexander who was hunting near the Ozark mountains called his wife after the attack, however despite being rescued by emergency personnel he sadly passed away in hospital a short time later.
Although a police say they are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination, they say believe Alexander died as a result of puncture wounds caused by the deer who charged at him.
