A hunter has been charged with the murder of an 18-yr-old boy who was shot dead in his car while watching the sunset in a state park in Pennsylvania.
52-yr-old Kenneth Troy Heller is charged with felony murder, which mercilessly puts another person in danger and, according to court records, fails to help someone injured by a hunter. Heller reportedly walked away after shooting Jason Kutt, 18, in October, who was sitting with his girlfriend by a lake in Nockamixon National Park, Bucks District Attorney Matt Weintraub said.
Prosecutors reached a deal with Heller, who was jailed this week after his preliminary charge. According to Weintraub, Kutt’s parents were consulted on the decision.
“Jason’s family gets to know exactly what happened to him,” reports CBS. “They will not like it but they can have some finality in the knowledge of what happened to Jason. They get finality in the criminal justice system.” The case is ongoing.
