The Irish Government has said that the exercise limit might be reduced to 2km if Covid-19 continues to spread.
The comments, made by Green Party Leader Eamon Ryan, come hours after almost 4,000 new cases were confirmed across Ireland.
Mr. Ryan also confirmed that schools are scheduled to re-open on January 11, but that could be reviewed.
