The entire island of Puerto Rico has been left in the dark, after the savage strength of Hurricane Maria knocked out power islanwide.
Winds surpassing 155mph and heavy rains have caused major damage around Puerto Rico, flattening houses and forcing over 10,000 people to hunker down in shelters.
The area has been left devastated by the third hurricane to ravage the island in as many weeks.
Maria has now regained strength and is currently moving through the Dominican Republic.
