In an ironic twist over 1,500 private jets will ferry the world’s financial and political elite as well as celebrities to Davos lecture ordinary citizens about the dangers of carbon emissions.
The World Economic Forum will see a record setting number of private jets arrive at the forum where man-made global warming will be one of the major topics discussed publicly.
The Air Charter Service has said that the number of private jets arriving in Davos this year has increased by 11% on 2018.
Pressuring national governments to force more carbon taxes on citizens is a major talking point of this year’s forum.
Two prominent figures on the global stage that will be missing this year are US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Teresa May who will be missing the forum because of the government shut down and the Brexit crisis respectively.
