“I bought clippers online” – Varadkar says hairdressers, barbers and other sectors won’t open on March 5th

The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has confirmed that hairdressers and barbers will not be opening on March 5th.

Varadkar’s comments come as he announced that a revised living with Covid-19 plan will be announced in two weeks with a date of February 22nd scheduled.

The Tanaiste also warned that other sectors such as entertainment and tourism will not be open fully for a very long time.

Speaking this afternoon the Tanaiste said that a number of measures such as supports for certain sectors will be discussed and will be introduced in the modified plan.

The news comes after the Taoiseach Micheal Martin said that there will be a cautious and conservative approach to reopening society.

He added that the aim is to get case numbers as low as possible and to keep them low.
