The trailer for the long-awaited sequel to 1986 smash hit Top Gun has finally arrived.
The first Top Gun film became an instant hit worldwide back in 1986. It launched Tom Cruise’s career and turned him into a household name and teen idol overnight. The US Navy capitalized on the films’s buzz and success by setting up recruitment booths outside cinema theaters.
Top Gun: Maverick will see Tom Cruise reprising his role as Captain Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell, in a yet undisclosed new story. The movie is expected to hit cinemas in 2020.
