The President of Brazil has said that he will continue to refrain from congratulating Joe Biden for his apparent victory in the US Presidential election as he claims that he has been informed that there was widespread election fraud.
President Bolsonaro said:
“I have my sources of information that there really was a lot of fraud there,” he said. “Nobody talks about that. If it was enough to define (victory) for one or the other, I don’t know.”
President Trump’s legal team continues to wage a legal battle against to overturn the results of the US Presidential election in several key states alleging that there was a widespread voter and election fraud.
Other world leaders such as Russia’s President Putin and Mexico’s President Obrador have also refrained from congratulating Biden and have said they will wait until the litigation is completed and a President-Elect is officially selected.
