Icy blast to hit the country this week

icy2

Following the onslaught of Storm Clodagh over the weekend, the country is set to experience artic winds and a great deal of snow and sleet this coming week.

Temperatures will sink to -4C this week, with strong northerly winds bringing misery upon the land.

Heavy downpours are predicted all over the country today, and the rain may turn into sleet or snow in some areas of Ulster. The north side of the country will become clearer and brighter as the day progresses, but it will remain overcast and dull in most southern counties.
