“If I get it, I’m a goner” – Petrified football legend Johnny Giles speaks candidly about his fears

People old enough to remember Italia ’90 will remember Johnny Giles, Eamon Dunphy and Bill O’Herlihy battle it out in the studio over Ireland’s incredible performance in the World Cup.

On Monday night’s Claire Byrne Live, Johnny spoke about his fears of contracting the virus and how he’s basically petrified to leave his house or have any interaction with members of the public.

He said that he checks his temperature at least 4 times a day, and that’s on a good day. The footie legend appeared to a bundle of nerves in relation to the virus. He said “if I get it, I’m a goner”.

It would appear that as a society, we need to keep an eye on older people as their minds appear to be badly affected by the virus, even if they don’t get it themselves.
