Google have advised their users to change their gmail passwords as soon as possible.
Hackers managed to gain access to 5 million accounts, their details, their passwords and even attachments to emails.
The information came from a website known as “Bitcoin Security” – it’s a popular Russian cyptocurreny website.
60% of the accounts that have been hacked are in use every day. These latest hacks, coming hot on the heels of celebrity-leaked photos, are a sure fire case that sensetive information must always be backed up and if possible, transferred in person.
Google emphasised their problem has been solved but that users should change their password for extra security.
