
The attack on two off-duty gardaà in Dublin city centre on Saturday morning has been denounced by the Taoiseach, TÔnaiste, and Minister of Justice, reports Breaking News.
The gardaĆ and their families are in Simon Harris’s thoughts, while Helen McEntee, Minister for Justice, said the attack ‘was horrible’.

In a statement on X, the Taoiseach said “My thoughts are with the off duty gardaĆ who were victims of an alarming & egregious attack in Temple Bar last night, one of who remains in hospital. The perpetrators of this attack will face the full rigours of the law. Anyone with information, please contact An Garda Siochana,” reports Breaking News.
According to Mark O’Meara, president of the Garda Representative Association, their loved ones and injured coworkers are in their prayers and thoughts.
It comes as gardaĆ are still questioning a man who was taken into custody in relation to the Saturday morning attack on two off-duty gardaĆ in Dublin city centre, reports Breaking News.
The attack, which occurred on Saturday morning at about 1:30 am near the intersection of Dame Street and Eustace Street, is still being investigated.
During the assault, both gardaĆ were hurt.
On Sunday morning, a 40-year-old garda is still in serious condition at Beaumont Hospital, reports Breaking News.
