Organisers of the Pope’s visit this coming August say a special mass at the Phoenix Park will accommodate 600,000 people.
Although the pontiff’s official schedule for his Irish visit has yet to be confirmed, it is expected that Pope Francis will say mass before a large crowd at Dublin’s iconic Park.
The news of the mass, comes as the pontiff is expected to attend the World Meeting of Families at Croke Park at the end of August.
The Vatican say a full itinerary that will outline the pontiff’s plans for his four day visit will be published and released on Monday.
