Met Eireann has issued a weather warning for seven counties as stormy conditions approach.
The national forecaster is warning that gale force winds and heavy rain will batter the country for about 18h.
The warning, which covers counties Galway, Clare, Limerick, Kerry, Cork, Waterford, and Wexford, will kick in at noon on Wednesday and remain in effect until 6am on Thursday.
