Independent Senator David Norris has announced his retirement from politics next year.
It is understood he will move to Cyprus to enjoy the more benign weather conditions.
It is unclear what contribution, positive change, or impactful policy Mr. Norris has spearheaded since first beginning to warm his Seanad seat in 1987.
