The recent upsurge in industrial action across Ireland continues; It’s now the turn of laundry staff at Cavan General Hospital.

Workers there will walk out of the job on Wednesday, June 8, in a bitter dispute over the outsourcing of the service to a private company.

Siptu organiser Sean Nolan has released a statement to say “The outsourcing of our members work, which is a breach of local and national agreements, has left them with no option but to vote for strike action.”
