The injury unit at Nenagh Hospital has been forced to close due to staff shortage, with people being asked to drive to Ennis or Limerick instead, even for minor injuries.
The Nenagh facility normally operates between 8am and 8pm. If hurt outside of those hours, it’s off to Ennis or Limerick or elsewhere anyway.
The facility might open tomorrow if enough staff turn up for work.
