Inspectors from the ISPCA have rescued a total of eighty-six dogs from an unauthorised breeder in Roscommon.
The animals were found in a neglected state. Some of them had health issues and suffered from malnutrition.
A follow up search uncovered another 17 animals at a private residence in Louth.
The animals were removed from the premises and taken into veterinary care.
