INTO teacher’s union condemn CPSMA letter opposing transgender ideology being promoted in primary schools

Members of the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO) have instructed their union to write to the Catholic Primary Schools Management Association (CPSMA) condemning their stance which opposes the teaching of transgender ideology to primary school pupils.

The CPSMA issued a letter to Minister for Children Roderic O’Gorman in which CPSMA General Secretary Séamus Mulconry said that teaching school children about “what it means to be trans” would generate “unnecessary divisions in school communities” and might add to what he called “a growing psychological contagion amongst young and vulnerable children” RTE reported.

Delegates at INTO’s annual congress in Killarney said comments made by the CPSMA in a letter sent to Minister for Children Roderic O’Gorman were insensitive and upsetting and they did not agree with them.

Across the Western world the push to inculcate transgenderism and the wider LGBTQIA+ ideology into the curriculum of school children of all ages continues unabated.

Last year however, Miriam Cates, a UK Member of Parliament and former biology teacher, has told her fellow MPs that the country’s sex education curriculum is encouraging pupils to self-identify as transgender, the Daily Mail UK reported.
